Bush - Glycerine

Bush - Glycerine

Today's song is another one from the 1990s (as I may have mentioned, it's the most important decade for me in terms of my personal history with music). It's from a band that never became huge, but was still big enough to be part of the zeitgeist.
Bush is from England and found success in much of the Western world. Formed in 1992, they are still active, although I'm not going to lie, I haven't heard from them in about 20 years.

"Glycerine" is a song from their 1994 debut album, Sixteen Stone. It's one of those "sad love songs" that I find so beautiful. It's probably their most famous song. Here it is.

This song doesn't remind me of a specific event or time in my life; it just reminds me of the second half of the 1990s. If I had to attach it to specific events, it would be my last summer in France before leaving for the U.S. or the summer after that, my first in France after moving to the U.S. We're talking about 1998–1999.
I don't listen to the song much anymore, but when I stumble upon it, it instantly takes me back to that time in my life.

What do you think of the song if it's your first time hearing it?
If you like it, I highly recommend listening to the whole album (that's the point of these posts, after all). I may introduce more songs from Bush in the future, but probably not for a while.
