Walking Around Ogijima
A short post and a long video with me talking while walking around Ogijima.
Do you remember my post from last May about the new art on Ogijima for the Setouchi Triennale 2025? I briefly mentioned a video I shot while walking around the island between artworks.

Finally, it's edited and online.
Don't expect great material; I'm not very good at vlogging. Even my friend David Stuart, who makes great videos for a living, had to tell me that in English, one says "vlog" as in "blog" and not "V-log."
I may have been influenced by the Japanese language because "blog" and "vlog" are not pronounced the same way for the simple reason that the Japanese language doesn't have a "v" sound and uses a "b" sound instead when importing foreign words.
It's not a great video, but you may find it interesting if you want to discover the lesser-known side of Ogijima, where tourists don't usually venture.
Well, there are also shots of the lighthouse and the village near the end of the video, so it's not entirely "out-of-the-way, wild nature," but expect to see a lot of it, as well as hear me ramble on.
Enjoy:
As always, thanks for reading and watching, and share the post with your friends and contacts if you liked it, and subscribe to the newsletter (it's free) if you want to receive future posts directly in your mailbox.
All the best,
David
