Just an old picture from my archive, and from my time in Paris, of the Palais Bourbon, home to the French National Assembly (i.e. the lower house of parliament).
I can’t remember why it was all so patriotic that day. I think it had something to do with

This is the Place de la Bastille in Paris, about 100 years ago.

The postcard shows the building that stood before the Opera Bastille was constructed. The July Column, on the other hand, hasn’t changed much since its construction
Sunset in the Arc de Triomphe
It’s a bit early, but it's better to have this kind of information early on rather than too late.
If you’re in Paris on May 10th (or around that date), don’t forget to watch the sunset right on the axis of the Arc de Triomphe.
