The Bright Side Of The Moon
I took this picture in 2012 with my (then) new camera. It was my first non-compact camera: a bridge camera, and it was the first time I could take a picture of the moon.
I have to admit that I was pretty happy about it and it made me glad that I bought such a camera. I never care much about the equipment side of photography, but this camera is the one that helped me realize that I too could take good pictures. I don’t use it anymore (my daughter used it for a while until she lost interest, as kids often do), and these days I mostly alternate between my phone and a DSLR, but I keep that camera in my heart because I feel like I crossed a threshold thanks to it.
Now I realize that I never tried to take a picture of the moon with my DSLR. They should be better, right? (The thing is, I have moved in the meantime, and there is a lot of light pollution in the south of my new place, but I should try it sometime).
