Nine Inch Noize - Heresy (Coachella 2026)

Nine Inch Noize - Heresy (Coachella 2026)

I already told you about Nine Inch Nails and I already told you how they're probably my favorite band in the world.
You can find all of my posts about them via the link below:

Nine Inch Nails - Liminal Web
Japan, art, islands, France, the internet, and the rest…

Wait, though. The title of this post doesn't say "Nine Inch Nails"; it says "Nine Inch Noize." What is that?

Take a look at the picture above. Do you see the man in the middle? That's Trent Reznor. He is the heart and soul of Nine Inch Nails. He is basically Nine Inch Nails. Well, one person would probably disagree, and I hope he forgives me if he ever reads this. It's very unlikely, but since we're somehow friends on Facebook, you never know. That person is Atticus Ross. He's the man on the left in the picture and the only other permanent member of Nine Inch Nails. Next, we have the female singer. Mariqueen Maandig-Reznor. As you may have guessed from her last name, she's Trent's wife and occasionally collaborates with Nine Inch Nails (consider her an honorary member).
I'm sure you're happy to learn all this, but it still doesn't explain why Nine Inch Noize and not Nine Inch Nails. The answer lies with the fourth person in the picture. His name is Alex Ridha. He's German, a music producer and remixer, and professionally known as Boys Noize.

And now you're starting to understand. Nine Inch Nails and Boys Noize have recently started working together, remixing some Nine Inch Nails classics. Boys Noize also worked on the Tron: Ares soundtrack, which I have already mentioned. They're set to release a new album this Friday (17 April 2026). I can't wait to listen to it!

Last Saturday, on the second night of Coachella 2026, Nine Inch Nails were due to perform. However, to everyone's surprise, a band called Nine Inch Noize took the stage instead and took the whole festival by storm. According to the reviews, it was one of Nine Inch Nails' best performances in years.

I only managed to watch four songs of the set, but I'm sure the whole concert will be available online sooner or later. I'm sharing with you 'Heresy', a Nine Inch Nails classic that has been completely reinvented for the occasion.

Oh, and before I let you go, I'd like to say a few things about Coachella.

If you're not familiar with it, it's probably the largest music festival in the US nowadays and one of the largest in the world. It's taking place right now. Well, not right now, right now, as I'm writing this on Wednesday, but the first half of Coachella 2026 took place last weekend, with the second half happening this coming weekend.

This year, the festival hosts more than 150 singers and bands of all genres. There are some of the biggest names, as well as some pretty obscure artists. There are newcomers and music veterans. It's a great opportunity to see your favorites, as well as discover new bands.

If I'm not mistaken, Nine Inch Noize as well as all the artists who performed last weekend will perform again this weekend, with many live streams on YouTube. I warmly advise you to check them out if you can.
