Farewell to 2025
I'm not one to do retrospectives of the year that's ending, nor one to make resolutions either, but I have a New Year's Eve tradition: to go for a walk just as the sun sets.
I did it the first time on December 31, 1999, and I try to do it as often as possible. I'd be lying if I said I do it every year. Some years, it's raining, some years I happen to be busy at that exact time, some other years, I simply forget.
But today, I did it. It wasn't too cold, and it was sunny. Of course, I did a silly thing and didn't head right away to the estuary, where one can see the sunset, so I missed it by probably a minute or two (see the picture).
However, the sky towards the west truly had stunning clouds:

I guess that's all for today.
I wish you all a very happy New Year, and see you very soon, here or there.
Stay safe.
Best,
David
