Birding (January 20th, 2026)

You may or may not know that I have two neighbors who happened to be a couple of crows and who have become my "friends."

I need to tell you more about them and the whole experience of befriending them one day, but today, it's only a few pictures.

First, Mr Crow on his favorite branch when it's windy (it's low enough that it doesn't swing with the wing, but high enough that it's safe from any danger). It wasn't too windy this morning, but he decided to hang out there for a little while.

Soon, Ms Crow arrived to:

Peanuts were given. Crows were happy.

A bit later, I was walking near the estuary, and I noticed this "eagle" who was flying in a stationary way.

Most eagles around here are black kites, but I'm not sure it's one. Actually, I'm pretty sure it's not a black kite, but I'm not sure what bird it is. If by any chance, you know, I'm all ears.

I find the next picture funny. It looks like the bird is leading the flock of cormorants (it's actually at a lower altitude from them and as I mentioned before, stationary):

Okay, that's all for now.

Thanks for reading.

Best,

David
